Glastonbury Friends for Music P.O. Box 961 Glastonbury, CT 06033 Friends for Music invites you to join us. If you have a student who is involved with music, either in the band, orchestra or in chorus you are a Friend for Music. FFM supports the programs of and participants in Glastonbury’s music programs. With the proceeds of our annual fundraiser, a sale of Munson’s candy, we are able to provide the following: * Purchase of equipment not included in the school budget [for example, a new keyboard at Smith, a music cabinet at Gideon and a computer inventory program * Camperships for eligible pre-high school music students * College scholarships for GHS graduates who will major in music or music education * Annual spring banquet honoring all GHS seniors in music programs and all non-senior festival participants * Contributors towards GHS new band uniforms In addition, we organize and run the annual Pops Concert in May, featuring all of the musical groups at the High School and provide other assistance throughout the year when asked to by the music department. Our biggest need for help occurs on a couple of nights in October and a day in November in conjunction with the fundraiser – our sale of Munson’s Candy which involves music students in grades 6-12.
